Blake|Griggs Properties (BGP) is the lead partner in West Berkeley Investors, LLC, which is developing 1900 Fourth.  BGP is an East Bay developer with more than 30 years’ experience developing and operating residential, mixed-use and retail projects throughout the Bay Area.  We bring a unique blend of deep expertise in both higher-density multifamily housing and retail development. This mixed-use combination is increasingly in demand as Bay Area residents seek out walkable “live-shop-play” communities close to jobs, close to amenities and close to transit. We focus on being locally-responsive and sensitive to the communities and neighborhoods where we develop.  This means hiring Bay Area architects and consultants, doing extensive community outreach and diligently studying the details of the built environment.  Each neighborhood is different, so we avoid formulaic methods, instead taking a well-thought-out approach to each project based upon city and community input. 


BGP was founded by Brad Blake and Brad Griggs, who have worked together for the past 15 years.
