Fourth Street is one of the premier destination retail locations in the East Bay, with an eclectic mix of boutique, design-focused retailers and restaurants.

Tenants of Fourth Street include:  Anthropologie, Builders Booksource, Lululemon, the Apple Store, Bette’s Oceanview Diner, Peet’s Coffee, Tacubaya Restaurant, Z Gallerie, Bryn Walker, Jigsaw, Benefit Cosmetics, and many more.

1900 Fourth builds on the intimate character of Fourth Street with approximately 27,500 square feet of new retail, service and dining offerings as well as open-air dining plazas and new street furniture and landscaping.

Ample public retail parking is provided in the ground floor of the parking structure. 100 retail parking spaces are provided (ratio of 3.6 spaces per thousand s.f.) in addition to new parallel parking along Fourth Street.

Leasing strategy

The retail leasing strategy is focused on retailers, restaurants and services that enhance the Fourth Street shopping experience for Berkeley residents and other visitors and add to the already diverse and curated merchandising mix. We plan to bring more and different dining experiences to the Fourth Street district in order to keep shoppers and visitors in the area longer and to create more evening activity. We will have a mix of East Bay-based artisan businesses and other popular retailers that will create an even more interesting and diverse experience for shoppers. There are a variety of sizes of retail spaces available.

The project is expected to be completed in 2021. For more information on leasing at 1900 Fourth, please contact Lauren Seaver (lseaver@blakegriggs.com)
